The gorgeous 2.4-inch display (320×240 pixels) takes up almost half of the phone’s front. With support for 262,000 colors, graphics were sharp and colors were vibrant. Menus are straightforward, as the ZN5 has the same simple, but easy-to-use interface that we saw on the Motorola Rokr E8. You can change the brightness and the backlighting time. The text size is not adjustable, but it should be big enough for most users. The display is easier to see in direct light than on many other cell phones.
The Motorola ZN5 offers a fantastic camera with a wide range of options and excellent photo quality. The plentiful feature set includes stereo Bluetooth and Wi-Fi, the design is sleek and sturdy, and call quality is more than respectable. The Motorola ZN5’s memory card is located behind the battery cover. The menus can be pokey at times and the camera interface could use a refinement. Also, the ZN5 lacks video editing features and the photo uploading process had a couple of hiccups.
The Motorola ZN5 is the best camera phone we’ve seen so far. But it doesn’t stop there, as it’s a good phone, too.

The Sony Ericsson K850i has a gorgeous display, a wide range of features, and desirable sound quality. It’s also a fantastic camera phone with outstanding photo quality. The Sony Ericsson K850i’s navigation array and touch controls take a little getting used to. Also, the keypad buttons are rather small.
Though its navigation controls and keypad aren’t up to par, the Sony Ericsson K850i is one of the finest camera phones we’ve seen.Like most Sony Ericsson handsets, the K850i has a standard candy bar design. With its sleek black hue and green highlights, it’s eye-catching without being ostentatious. At 4 inches by 1.9 inches by 0.7 inch, it has an average size though it’s a bit weighty at 4.2 ounces. Sony Ericsson always does a good job with its displays, and the K850i is no exception. The 2.25-inch (320×240 pixels) screen supports a bright 262,144 colors. It shows everything well, from graphics to photos and text, and the menus are simple and easy to use. You can adjust the clock size and the brightness, but no other options are customizable.
Sony Ericsson excels at a lot of things, but cell phone design isn’t always the company’s strong point. It’s not that its phones are ugly (most of the time they’re quite pretty), but controls tend be too stylish for their own good. The K850i has the same problem; it’s stylish and sharp, but we found its navigation array and camera controls not so easy to use. But before we get there, let’s address the good stuff first.

With so many new phones constantly coming onto the market, some models seem to rely on flashiness to capture consumers’ attention. Not so with the Sony Ericsson W760a, a slider Walkman handset that feels well made and solid enough to continue providing high quality music, photos and communication while other phones come and go.
The W760a is the first global Walkman phone with tri-band HSDPA and many reviewers have found it to be a marked improvement over previous Sony Ericsson Walkman phones. This phone is designed to appeal to music lovers and gamers and despite its sleek, grown up look, there are a lot of special features packed inside.
These include the shake control to shuffle music tracks, fast forward and adjust volume, and an accelerometer that allows users to navigate certain games by tilting the phone in various directions. The W760a can switch to landscape mode with the slider closed while music and gaming applications are open, which makes it similar to the iPhone in one respect, although there is no touch screen here.

The TM506 is unobtrusive and slim enough to slip easily into a pocket or small purse, at only 0.7 inches thick. Images on the internal display are colorful and bright, while unfortunately the external display is monochrome and displays time and the phone numbers of callers, but not photo identification.
Beneath the basic design of the TM506, Sony Ericsson and T-Mobile have still found room for plenty of features, including a camera with a wealth of editing options and a functional music player. Photos from the 2.0-megapixel camera, which puts it in the middle ranks of Sony Ericsson camera phones, were clear, detailed and usually reproduced colors well, but it was somewhat unreliable. Sometimes photos and video taken indoors came out normal, and sometimes they were too dark.
This clamshell phone is small and lightweight, at 3.4 ounces. It is 3.7 inches tall, 1.9 inches wide and 0.7 inches thick. The TM506 comes in two color schemes, amber and emerald, and the amber model is the one reviewed here. The emerald design has green details on the keypad, hinge and other areas, whereas the amber version has a mix of silver and orange details.

Combining a sleek, clamshell design with a high-speed, 3G connection, the phone offers a slew of multimedia options, including access to more than 5 million songs on Verizon’s VCAST Music with Rhapsody. The phone’s centerpiece is a touch-sensitive external display, which enables quick access to the music player and 2.0-megapixel camera. The Rapture also shoots video and records audio, which can be sent out in a multimedia message within seconds of recording.
The Rapture’s onyx-like finish and beveled edges give it a sporty look that’s matched by a sturdy feel in the hand. Sleek and pleasing to the eye, the flip phone is only available in black, but its varied textures make it appear two-toned. The front is made of hard black plastic that’s durable but also smudges easily. The back has a soft texture similar to leather, which makes it easy to grasp.
The phone’s style doesn’t stop with its shape. At the top of the keypad, a directional key with center select offsets the silver keys with its light blue hue. In contrast, the keyboard characters are printed in a cool, white font that makes them look even cooler when they’re backlit. The directional key is surrounded by two soft keys at the top, a dedicated Music key, a Clear key, Send key, and Power/End key.

The N75 is also very solid in the hand, weighing in at 4.23 ounces and sized at a somewhat clunky at 2.05 inches wide, 3.74 inches long and 0.80 inches thick. Sharp photos and elegant exterior design are strong points of the phone, on which the lens and shutter button are placed to resemble a traditional camera. Three simple music player and multi-function buttons on the front of the phone enhance its multimedia uses.
The Nokia N75 also has the potential to be a world traveler. As a quad-band world phone, it can be used on all four frequencies of GSM commonly used internationally.
The distinctive exterior of the N75 deserves the most points for design, with a keypad layout that is also intuitive and useful. The weight is not much more than some clamshells currently on the market but going against the trend of ultra-thin phones, its size is not as easy to slip into a pocket as many others. It is also quite long when opened, with a considerable distance between the earpiece and the bottom of the phone.

This clamshell offers you a slew of entertainment options including download and playback options for music with a dual speaker and stereo sound. The music player has a dedicated external keypad. The phone can support up to 8 Gb of external memory via a microSD card. It features a 1.3MP camera with 1280×960 pixel resolution. Other features include VZ Navigator with A-GPS, EV-DO, stereo Bluetooth, plus Verizon’s broadband services like V Cast Music and V Cast Video.
The LG VX8360 is a small phone with dimensions 3.64? x 1.91? x 0.78? and weighs a very light 3.35 ounces. A charged battery gives you 314 minutes of talk time or up to 641 hours of standby time.
t has a bold set of Internet features for a lightweight clamshell and maintains a reputation as a noteworthy music downloading and playing device. But a lack of memory storage and a corresponding need to buy a memory card in order to take the phone’s entertainment features to their full potential could steer some shoppers to a different phone.
