Nokia N75

April 27, 2009

Nokia N75

The N75 is also very solid in the hand, weighing in at 4.23 ounces and sized at a somewhat clunky at 2.05 inches wide, 3.74 inches long and 0.80 inches thick. Sharp photos and elegant exterior design are strong points of the phone, on which the lens and shutter button are placed to resemble a traditional camera. Three simple music player and multi-function buttons on the front of the phone enhance its multimedia uses.

The Nokia N75 also has the potential to be a world traveler. As a quad-band world phone, it can be used on all four frequencies of GSM commonly used internationally.

The distinctive exterior of the N75 deserves the most points for design, with a keypad layout that is also intuitive and useful. The weight is not much more than some clamshells currently on the market but going against the trend of ultra-thin phones, its size is not as easy to slip into a pocket as many others. It is also quite long when opened, with a considerable distance between the earpiece and the bottom of the phone.

Nokia N91

April 20, 2009

Nokia N91

The Nokia N91 is the second N series phone that I review. And I am almost as delighted as I was when I tested the Nokia N90. Sturdy, durable design, great display, good sound… Well, excellent sound, since sound is what the N91 is about. A high-end music phone. And it has the perks you’d expect: Strong, flawless bass sounds yet crisp voices; The headset connector is not standard but there is another headset jack midway, where you can connect your own headsets — even though those provided by Nokia were nice enough for the amateur music lover that I am. Fast forwarding is efficient, going slow at first and then faster as you keep it pressed. The N91 also features “Voice Radio”, one of Nokia’s recent innovations. And since we’re talking about a media phone, the built-in hard drive, once connected with a USB cable, acts just like a removable disc: A piece of cake.

On the down side, the earpiece volume is ok but could be stronger. So is the speakerphone. The keypad, though much better than Nokia 8801’s similar “embedded” keypad, isn’t this phone’s best strength.

Advantages:
* Feature-rich, lightweight and thin

* Surprisingly good keypad for the size

Disadvantages
* Some keys could have been more easy to press

Nokia E71

April 20, 2009

Nokia E71

This is a serious smartphone that still manages to look good, too. The Nokia E71 is 4.4 inches tall by 2.2 inches wide–and, remarkably, it’s just .4 inches thick. The screen measures 2.4 inch diagonally, and has a resolution of 320 by 240 pixels. Most of the phone is gray with silver accents, and you get a full–but compact–QWERTY keyboard for typing.

The E71 supports a wide range of e-mail accounts, including Microsoft Exchange, POP3, IMAP, and SMTP accounts. It also includes a setup wizard that simplifies adding an account to the phone; you enter your user name and password, and the E71 can automatically configure most accounts.

The included camera is a 3.2 megapixel model that includes a flash and auto-focus. It captures still photos and videos, and includes support for Nokia’s Ovi service, which lets you share your photos online.

The Nokia E71 packs a lot of features into its slim frame: You’ll find plenty of productivity tools, and lots of ways to keep yourself entertained, too.

Nokia 5610

April 20, 2009

nokia

In the sound department, the 5610 XpressMusic delivers in prioritizing two primary functions: an iPod-like interface for you to listen to all your favorite songs and FM radio.
So the 5610 XpressMusic can prove to you its musical devotion, the phone features a unique “slider key”. Its design is for you to easily “slide” between the main screen, your song playlist and the radio.

The prime difference between the 5610 and the 5310 – which are both marketed as music phones – is that the 5610 uses a slider key for its three musical functions whereas the 5310 delivers these functions in three separate buttons on the far left side of the phone.

In addition, the 5610 comes with a 2-gigabyte memory card with support for up to 4 gigabytes. The amount of storage space a cell phone comes with and can be upgraded to is a critical element for those interested in storing data including music, pictures and video.

Because the horizontal navigation while in camera mode doesn’t give the phone a practical and functional advantage, it can be considered a flaw that detracts from the phone’s simplicity.

Nokia 7070 Prism Clamshell Phone

Nokia 7070 Prism is a Flip form factor mobile phone, which supports GSM 900 / 1800 on 2G network and GSM 850 / 1900 on 2G network for U.S. Nokia 7070 Prism is a very unique and distinctive flip phone with stunning external light effects and geometric patterns. The Nokia 7070 Prism features a128 x 160 pixel TFT display, an indicator light on the outside, it supports GPRS for basic web browsing and it has an email client too. MP3 ringtones are supported on Prism, and the internal memory is 11MB which is a reasonable amount for a basic cell phone. Unfortunately there is no camera or multimedia player in Nokia 7070 prism and the Nokia 7070 Prism does not even support Bluetooth. This is the perfect phone for people who want a simple to use phone for making and answering calls.

The Nokia 7070 is just an entry level phone where it can just perform the basic calling and SMS services. It specifically does not boast of its cellphone capabilities but by its wonderful look.

The nokia 7070 would be a great gadget for those who love fashion this because of its unique design. Its fabulous diamond cut design and dazzling lights when receiving a call would certainly make not only you phone but the user of the phone to stand out.
