If the Nokia N Series is for the richy-rich niche, the Nokia 6555 clamshell phone is the ultimate phone for the masses who want the 3G experience but could not pay for an expensive phone. The Nokia 6555 is very affordable at only $49 but it comes with a two-year contract.
The phone has the basic features of other mutipurpose phones lile a 1.3 megapixel camera, stereo Bluetooth plus the push-to-talk or PTT feature which can be accessed from the phone’s external LCD. But while the other niche phones are getting smaller and lighter everyday, the Nokia 6555 is on the heavy side measuring 99.6×44.3×19.6 mm and weighing 97 grams.
It makes use of the UMTS data network by AT&T which is a bit slower but you can definitely browse the internet through the phone. You can also access Yahoo and other messengers like AIM and Windows Live.
The Nokia 6555 provides you six hours of straight talk time but it can be a lot less if you are using the 3G functions.
