Samsung U550 Clamshell Cell Phone

The new Samsung U550 clamshell cellphone may have attractive features for an entry level phone but the manufacturers could have improved a bit on its looks. From the way the promotion photos of this new cell phone looks, no one would dare take a second look unless you already know its features.
The fist thing that will catch your attention (aside of course from the ugly phone design) when you see the specs of the Samsung U550 is the 3G feature. This feature is avant garde for an entry level phone priced at $70 plus a two-year lock-in contract. Need I say that the 3G feature allows you access to Vcast streaming video?
Its clamshell pet name may have been given due to its flip design but that’s about the closest you can get to figuring out why it was given such a name. The 1.3 megapixel camera is not something to boast about but it has a speila nightshot mode which you can use to improve photos taken during night time or when it’s dark. But don’t bet too much on this feature as this is also offered by lots of quality digital cameras but they turned out frustrating as you can’t get a decent nightshot using this feature.
At least, it has a Bluetooth feature which allow hands free calls so make the best of that feature if you buy this phone because that’s the best feature it has aside from the 3G connectivity.
