The LG Glimmer touchscreen and slider phone was made available to all Alltel subscribers last month. At first glance it looks similar to the Prada cellphone esepcially the menu, only simpler. Mixing the sliding keypads with the touch screen interface is a good idea for the sake of convenience.
Since the phone is exclusively for Alltel (which is not good news for non-Alltell subscribers) it boasts of some of the best features available only to Alltel clients like the Axcess TV, Axcess Voice2TXT, Alltel Navigation, Axcess TV and Axcess Search. Compared to most cellphones in its league it is pretty affordable at only $249.99 with the $100 mail-in rebate already deducted.
The LG Glimmer has a 2 megapixel camera, 2.8 inch touchscreen, a 128 internal memory, an expandable microSD slot (which is inconveniently located at the back) which is capable of up to 4GB memory, MP3 Player, GPS capability and EV-DO support.
If you use your phone to keep records of your friends and business contacts then you woudl not be disappointed because it can store as many as 1,000 contacts and you can keep as many as five phone numbers per contact, his email address, homepage and some notes. You can also group your contacts into certain categories, assign a caller ID photo and a ringtone.

The LG Disney phone is not cheap at $110 for the unit alone but parents will probably scramble to get a pair (for the parent and at least a child) if only to make sure that they are monitoring their child’s calling and downloading habits.
But the Disney Phone by LG is more than a spy phone as it will also make sure your kid’s safety by allowing emergency numbers to be always “ON” regardless of the restrictions. Among these are your number, your office phone, the number of any family member or friend and of ourse 911.
Parents can easily set the phone restrictions by going to the phone’s Family Center menu. You can set the extent of voice calls, text messaging and other downloads. You will also receive a warning when you child is exceeding the limit.
It also has a GPS loation service which allows you to track down your child without him knowing that you are spying on him. Plus, it has additional features like a 1.3 MP camera, a speakerphone and Bluetooth capability.

No, the photo does not advertise a facial or skin-smoothening product. Want to guess again? Of course, it’s about the new LG LG-SH240 3G Phone which literally feels like skin.
Eerie, you might say. But LG has taken the cellphone war too seriously and came up with a cell phone that will not only allow you to make calls but will also allow you to touch its skin although I still do not see the logic behind that feature.
The phone is actually made of metal and silicon materials but the latter was made to imitate the texture of real skin. Thus, you have keypads that feels like real skin.
In case you are the weird type and you like the skin-like texture then you might also be interested to know that the cellphone has a 2 megapixel camera, an MP3, Bluetooth and video call capabilities, subway map and a dictionary (when words fail you!).
The phone is available in Korea for now at $400.
